An old saying says that “the best rice in the east is Kame no O and the best in the west is Asahi”. This 2018 version was bottled in 2018 and it was a genshu. It has been kept in our cold room. The body has become rounder and fuller while retains its mildly sparkling style.
This sake should be enjoyed in a wine glass. It starts with a passion fruit like nose and mild sweetness. The sake finishes with a green apple like taste and dry finish with mild acidity.

Rikyubai is named after a cherry tree in the garden of the brewery. It is the traditional label consumed around the brewery for decades.
